Marulilu Cafe has been a beloved gathering place on Vancouver's West Broadway for over 16 years. We opened our doors in 2009 with a simple mission: to bring the warmth and comfort of a traditional Japanese kissaten (coffee house) to the heart of Vancouver.
Our name, Marulilu, reflects our philosophy of creating a round table of connection — where friends meet, strangers become regulars, and every guest leaves feeling nourished. We source our matcha directly from Uji, Japan, and prepare every meal with the same care you would find in a family kitchen in Tokyo.
Loved by locals and visitors alike, Marulilu Cafe has become a Vancouver institution for Japanese cafe culture.
